Academics

At Gleason, we place great pride in the rigor and standards that will prepare your child for success in the future, no matter what avenue they choose to pursue after the PreK-12 setting.

Gleason students in grades PreK-2 are in a family-type setting with their core teacher for the majority of each day. Students rotate to RTI groups for small-group instruction once a day, and also have the opportunity to participate in Library, Art/Music, Physical Education, Guidance, and STEM activities once a week. Our younger students also enjoy a recess time each day, as well as lunch and snack time.

Children in grades 3-5 at Gleason School operate on a similar schedule as PreK-2. However, these upper elementary students rotate between 2 teachers at their grade-level for focused subject area instruction.

In grades 6-12, Gleason School students are on a seven period per day schedule that is divided into 6 six-week grading periods.  Please see our bell schedule for Junior High (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12) listed below:

The most important aspect of the academic process will be communication between the student, teacher and parents. We look forward to working with you and your child! Please feel free to contact any member of our teaching staff if you have questions or need additional information in regard to your child's academic progress.
